The difference between traditional peels and metabolic peels.

Traditional chemical peels use acids to exfoliate the skin from the Stratum Corneum down and a mild wounding of the skin occurs which initiates the natural healing response within the skin stimulating cell renewal. Metabolic peels on the other hand use encapsulated retinol to stimulate cell renewal from the Stratum Germinativum upwards, working with the skins natural renewal process rather than forcing repair. This is a non-traumatic approach to skin peeling that supports the skin’s function.
